One of the cool things about working for a news service company now is that we see all the stuff the Reuters puts out and cool photographs are put up on our intranet. This one caught my eye today. Here’s the caption:

Local residents crowd a swimming pool during hot weather in Suining, Sichuan province, China, July 27, 2008. The local temperature reached 37 degrees Celsius (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit) on Sunday, local media reported.

So, my question is, why? Why in God’s name would you go to a pool that is THIS crowded? And where the heck did they get all of those innertubes? If the Dells had been this packed, we would’ve turned around and come right back home. Guess I’m happy I don’t live in China…

Pixel Fairy Princess - OMG – Amy ALL the pools are like that in China! And that are ginormous too! When we were in China all the hotels had three or four giant pools and they were always being used.
