This morning I found out that one of my friends’ husband was killed at work last night. Everyone who knows her is just in shock and disbelief. It’s one of those things that you never think will happen to you or someone that you know. But it does. And it sucks.
Life can be so unfair sometimes. I truly believe that we will never understand why things happen here on earth that cause so much hurt and pain for good people. People that are in the prime of their lives and enjoying every moment. And in seconds, it is all changed forever.
When things like this happen, it always gives me a big wake up call. That we cannot take our family, friends and loved ones for granted. Every moment we have with them is a gift from God and should be cherished.
I know that I will try to keep my patience more with Ty and Tony, even though it’s hard at times and make sure they know how much I love them. Because you just never know when a tragedy like this can happen to you or someone you know. So today, hug your family a little tighter and hold them just a few seconds longer. And appreciate and enjoy all that you have in your life. It’s all a gift from God.
If you could all say a prayer for my friend, her two small children and all of their family, it would be much appreciated. She will be healing for a very long time to come.
