Last Wednesday, Ty and I busted out the egg dye tablets and tried our hand at dyeing eggs. He did MUCH better this year than last year. I really do miss the dye that we had growing up though. It was in those little glass bottles that had the rabbit heads for the tops. I remember we could get some really cool swirl designs with multiple colors. It was so much fun! I’ve searched year after year to try to find that dye, but haven’t ever been able to. I wonder if they found out it was toxic or something and pulled it. The little tablets just aren’t the same. 
But we did use vinegar this year to make the colors brighter and that worked relatively well. But still, I miss my little swirls!

The finished product! We didn’t do too many, but since I’m the only one in our house that eats eggs, I didn’t want to be eating them until next Easter!
